Great Colmore Street

Great Colmore Street is a modern building within walking distance of central Birmingham. the church is a diverse congregation, with many different ages and nationalities represented.

We meet for worship each Sunday at 9am and 11am.

Please feel free to contact Amanda if you wish to visit, arrange a family event or have any questions about life and events of St Luke's.

Gas Street

Gas Street was once an industrial site for manufacturing gas. That gas was used to power the street lamps that illuminated the area surrounding this part of the city. The history of this wonderful building has provided us with a compelling narrative to be a church that generates light for the city of Birmingham.

In Matthew 5:14 (MSG) Jesus says “You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colours in our world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill.” The source of the ‘light’, that we pray will pour out of this building, is the love and power of Jesus Christ.

Our vision is to not only create a space where people from all walks of life can experience that love and power, but also to create a community of believers who carry that light into their every day lives.

The church is very active in the community, located in the newly redeveloped Park Central development.

In 2015 over 80 different groups used the Centre and our staff and church volunteers welcomed over 30,000 people.

St Luke's is used regularly throughout the week and we also welcome other groups to use the Centre facilities for conferences, seminars and meetings

Church Centre

St Luke's offers a wide range of facilities within its centre as a venue for meetings and conferences, with space for up to 150 delegates, with modern kitchen and disabled access (including hearing loop and level access to all the site)

We are conveniently situated within walking distance of Birmingham's main train stations and bus routes, and have on site parking.

Please feel free to contact Christine McAteer, Centre Host, for any activities related to the Centre, or to arrange a visit, or a book any of the rooms.
